Position Title: TEES Research Engineering Associate I

Major/essential duties of job:
Electrical Engineer: This position is based in Houston. The primary project will be designing and outfitting an ambulance with state-of-the-art medical monitoring and wireless communications technology for real-time transmission of vital statistics to hospital personnel. The duties of this position are doing "as built" drawings; design and installation of AC/DC power sources; design and installation of noise suppression and shielding apparatus such that interference with acquisition and transmission of signals is minimized. Responsible for evaluation, selection, and application of standard techniques used in routine research and development. Makes and records observations and measurements. Sets up and operates apparatus or equipment. Conducts directed phases of research and development projects. May collect and organize information for various reports or prepare reports and portions of reports. Require consistent exercise of discretion and judgement. Performs duties as required.
Education qualifications/training:
Requires applicable accredited B.S. degree in electrical engineering or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
Work experience (months, years) and skill required:
Should have AC/DC power experience (5 KVA or less) and radio frequency, AC & DC noise suppression and shielding experience. Competency in written and verbal communications is mandatory. Audio-video/TV experience a strong plus.
