Position Title: TEES Research Engineering Associate I

Major/essential duties of job:
Medical Engineer: This position is based in Houston and working on a design to equip an ambulance with state-of-the-art medical monitoring and wireless communications technology for real-time transmission of vital statistics to hospital personnel. The primary duties of this position are drafting and mechanical straight design work. Specifically vibration and shock isolation; rerouting air conditioning; and structural work and doing mass/momentum calculations for high-speed travel. Responsible for evaluation, selection, and application of standard techniques used in routine research and development. Makes and records observations and measurements. Sets up and operates apparatus or equipment. Conducts directed phases of research and development projects. May collect and organize information for various reports or prepare reports and portions of reports. Require consistent exercise of discretion and judgement. Performs duties as required.
Education qualifications/training:
Requires applicable accredited B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or any equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
Work experience (months, years) and skill required:
Competency in written and verbal communications is mandatory. 2-3 years experience with fabrication and design.
